Aromatic Origins

A visit to the Linterhof sheep dairy in the Ulten Valley.
A small sign with the words Kirchbach marks the driveway to the Linterhof sheep dairy. The owners of the farm, Verena and Martin, run the farm with about forty Krainer bull sheep, a particularly rare type of sheep that is almost extinct in our latitudes. The two have been at the farm for a few years now and rely on sustainable and organic animal husbandry. The quality of their products is unique and probably comes from the way the animals are kept, from the feed that comes exclusively from the surrounding area and, above all, from the deep devotion of the two owners to their charges. The alpine meadows of the Ulten Valley are home to many herbs and special grasses that make the sheep's milk a high-quality product. Verena and Martin supply our house with their products - from organic sheep cheese to delicious mountain milk yoghurt, it's all there. It's great to be able to be part of it.
