6 Bodies - by Hannes Egger
The newly redesigned Residence, adjacent to the hotel's main building, inspires its guests with artworks by Hannes Egger. In addition to paintings and drawings in the rooms, one piece of art is impossible to overlook: already at the entrance, two hands welcome guests and lead them into the corridor, which is adorned with six intertwined bodies stretching across two floors.
Under the title Handrail, the drawn bodies are primarily composed of hands. These hands symbolize those that shape the guests' stay – the service, the hospitality, the welcoming gesture of an outstretched hand.
Visually, the artwork takes inspiration from the wrought-iron railing – the handrail – in the Residence’s staircase. The thickness and color of the drawing are aligned with this intricate design element, ensuring a harmonious overall aesthetic.
This artwork immediately creates a sense of welcome for anyone entering the Residence – embraced and cared for by six pairs of hands devoted to their personal well-being.
