16. - 20. September 2026

Shiva Rea is one of the most influential yoga teachers of our time. As the founder of Prana Vinyasa® Yoga, she weaves together the roots of yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra with contemporary somatic movement, world dance and the South Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. Her teaching is rooted in embodiment, the innate intelligence of nature and the body's natural rhythms.

At the Schwarzschmied, she will offer two classes, each a unique Prana Vinyasa Flow experience where movement, breath and rhythm come together.

The teacher from the United States shares yoga as a creative and deeply transformative experience. In her classes, movement, breath and rhythm merge into a meditative flow that allows the movement of Prana – life force energy – to be experienced directly. For her, yoga is far more than a physical practice; it is a living path to reconnect with the body, nature and the rhythm of life.

Her work extends far beyond the yoga mat: from urban studios and international festivals to indigenous communities, Shiva has taught in more than 50 countries around the world. Through initiatives such as the Global Mala Project and her commitment to Yoga Energy Activism, she brings together spiritual practice and global activism. In doing so, she inspires people around the world to rediscover their connection to their own life force.
