Cold Plunges - The Cold Ritual

In the sauna garden, between warm wood and clear mountain air, you will find our cold plunge pools. Two quiet basins, each one meter deep, with water between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius. The practice of ice bathing goes hand in hand with the heat of the saunas and supports presence and regeneration.

A practice with tradition

In ancient cultures, cold water was used to strengthen the body. The Scythians, a nomadic horse-riding people of the Eurasian steppe, were said to seek the cold after intense rituals and physical exertion in order to build resilience. The interplay of heat and ice was seen both as a test and as a form of purification.

In Scandinavia, immersion in icy water remains deeply rooted in everyday life to this day. After the sauna, people step outside directly into a lake or the sea. The cold is not an opponent, but an element that revitalizes and brings order. Heat and cold form a unity.

Effects of ice bathing

– Activation of the circulation
– Improved blood flow through the contrast of heat and cold
– Stimulating impulses for the immune system
– Support for regeneration after physical activity
– Strengthening of mental clarity

Cold requires mindfulness

– Share the experience and create a moment of togetherness
– Keep immersion time conscious and short
– Listen to your body and respect your personal limits

Use our cold plunges daily between 8 am and 8 pm in the sauna garden - a quiet place for renewed awareness.

Use is at your own responsibility. Please always listen carefully to your body and consult a physician if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
