Mark Wuest is a dancer, choreographer, and yoga teacher based in Zurich with a long-standing international career. Raised in the United States, he began his journey as a competitive swimmer and later worked as a professional dancer and choreographer. For more than 40 years, he has been dedicated to bodywork, yoga, and Pilates, sharing this extensive experience through his diverse teaching. In November, he will be a guest at Schwarzschmied as Yoga Teacher in Residence.

What role do Pilates and dance play in your life?
Movement and body awareness have always been important themes in my life. Pilates, dance, and yoga bring these elements together, sometimes with a focus on building strength, sometimes on improving posture, increasing flexibility, or simply enjoying movement. Over time, this passion has become my vocation.
What would you most like to pass on to your students?
We are creatures of habit, and we can use that to our advantage. Good posture, efficient movement, healthy breathing - all of this can be learned and applied. With enough practice, it eventually becomes smooth and automatic, turning into a healthy habit. I want to help my students develop a positive relationship with their bodies: it is a wonderful thing to be in your own body. Instead of stress and disappointment, we should see our body as our home - a place where we can feel comfortable and at ease.
What would you describe as the core of your philosophy?
A small amount of effort can lead to very meaningful results. We are always in our bodies, so how we feel within them truly matters. With the right kind of movement and a bit of focused awareness, we can create significant change and have a profound impact on our lives.

90 minutes of music and movement: We begin with a gentle warm-up, followed by exercises that focus on posture, coordination, and expression. Shorter and longer step sequences guide you playfully through different qualities of movement, before a small, clearly guided improvisation opens space for your own expression. The session concludes with a relaxing warm-down. Inspired by ballet, modern, contemporary, and Latin dance - mindful, stress-free, and with a sense of lightness.

Bärbel has been practicing yoga since 1999. In 2008, she completed her 800-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jivamukti Yoga in New York and Munich. She continued her education with trainings in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, as well as Svastha Yoga Therapy. In the summer of 2017, Bärbel completed a YogAlign teacher training with Michaelle Edwards. For those who want to get to know Bärbel beforehand, her lovingly self-produced yoga videos are available on plus.yogamour.de.

Dr. med. Anne Latz is a specialist in nutritional medicine and holds a doctorate in neuroscience. In 2022, she co-founded the health start-up “Hello Inside”. Active in numerous networks, she advocates for personalized prevention, health promotion and communication, and the fair and smart use of new technologies. Her mission is to help people optimize their eating habits and find individual solutions for their health needs. She is active as a keynote speaker, panelist, and author, and was named among the Top 10 EU Health Tech Influencers in 2024, and in 2025 she was selected for the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s NextGenGesundheit “30 under 40”.
Toan Nguyen is a biohacker, tech enthusiast, and entrepreneur with a passion for self-experiments, wearables, and innovative health strategies. He demonstrates how modern technology, biohacking methods, and scientific insights can help enhance physical performance, mental strength, and overall well-being. His approach combines experimental methods, future-oriented thinking, and high-tech tools to sustainably take health and quality of life to the next level.
You can expect a retreat with a joyful and accessible approach to well-being and health. This includes both Vinyasa flows and fluid movements as well as Yin Yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
