Yoga with... Thais de la Paz

Thais de la Paz is an experienced yoga teacher who has been offering retreats at Hotel Schwarzschmied regularly for many years. These retreats are strategically scheduled in spring and autumn to celebrate the transition of the seasons. She creates a space for participants to release the old and embrace changes in both nature and life and guides you toward mindful self-awareness and compassionate reflection. Her retreats cultivate love, patience, and self-care, allowing these qualities to accompany you in your daily life.

What role does yoga play in your life?
Yoga has become indispensable for me. I personally use yoga and meditation primarily as tools for greater well-being. They help me to experience each moment with awareness and to consciously welcome both the good and the challenging. For me, yoga is an essential part of a mindful lifestyle in harmony with nature, and I particularly appreciate the diversity that different styles of yoga offer.

What do you hope to share with your students in your yoga classes?
I want to encourage people to treat themselves with love and compassion. Each participant in my classes should feel empowered to practice mindful self-awareness and reflection. Ideally, they will leave with a greater sense of calm, patience, and balance in their everyday lives. By cultivating these values in each individual, I hope to bring more peace, patience, and compassion into the world, step by step.

What would you describe as the core of your philosophy?
Of course, my philosophy consists of many elements, but I always return to the belief that the power of transformation lies within each individual. We have access to this power ourselves, and through my yoga teaching, I aim to cultivate it in every participant. Change - both small and large - begins with self-awareness. I believe yoga and meditation are the best ways to foster this inner transformation.

Our next Retreats

This yoga retreat offers the perfect opportunity to pause, recharge, and consciously prepare for the upcoming winter season. Together, we create a space of calm and renewal to harmonize body, mind, and soul. Our morning sessions combine yoga asanas, mindful alignment and breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy impulses to strengthen energy, vitality, and focus. Evenings are dedicated to regeneration and relaxation: yin yoga, restorative poses, pranayama, yoga nidra, journaling, and guided meditations invite you to let go, find calm, and deeply integrate the day’s experiences.

Complementing this, a short fitness session provides the ideal balance to train endurance, strength, and your deep core muscles — an important foundation to take your yoga practice, mental, and physical strength to a new level.

Look forward to four days full of yoga, reflection, fitness, and relaxation that will help you start the cold season with new clarity and strength.

Beautiful days await you in a truly special place of calm. Let’s slow down together, strengthen the connection to ourselves, and get in touch with our feelings. Step out of everyday life and dive into your inner world. Time for your self-care practice on all levels:

Body
We bring the body into strength and movement with flowing and dynamic Vinyasa Flow and Intuitive Movements. Yin Yoga and Restorative sessions support you in sinking into deep relaxation and releasing tension. The physical practice brings you back into balance. You will feel freer and lighter and more connected to your body.

Mind
We begin the day in silence with a guided meditation. Gift your mind rest, find clarity, and reduce external stimuli with Yoga Nidra and journaling. Reflect, find stillness, and create inner alignment.

Heart
We also want to do something good for the heart. Together we chant mantras that open your heart and bring you deep into feeling. Let’s dance through the room and let the music touch you.

Soul
In the in-house spa, you can pamper yourself between sessions and let your soul unwind. The special culinary nourishment feeds not only the body but above all the soul. In the loving group, you can share and spend time in community.

A journey to more strength, clarity, and inner freedom. How does it feel when your mind becomes clear, your body feels strong, and every movement makes sense? When your breath flows deeply, your thoughts settle, and inner strength builds? This is exactly what Beyond Yoga Dynamics (BYD) is about. It’s about understanding your nervous system, resolving stress at its root, and returning home stronger.

Each session is designed to use movement as a powerful key to greater stability and mental clarity. The body learns, the mind follows. This is not just an abstract concept, but a tangible transformation.

This retreat is more than just a break – it is the beginning of a new path. If you’re ready to go deeper, to discover movement as a gateway to your inner balance, and to return home with renewed strength, clarity, and a hypnotic flow state, then this retreat is for you.
